Spirit TRC today!

Spirit Therapeutic Riding Center has reached unprecedented numbers of participants in 2023.  We continue to experience an ever-growing demand for our equine-assisted services for individuals with disabilities, struggling learners, and senior citizens. We have answered the call by expanding our days & hours, as well as adding new equine partners, volunteers, & staff.   

Our therapeutic riding, horsemanship, life-skills, literacy, and seniors programs are offered at our leased facility in the beautiful Badger Pocket area about 15 minutes southeast of Ellensburg, WA.  We also take a couple programs on the road. Our learning and literacy program "Reading Round Pen" visits elementary schools throughout Kittitas County and Senior Supports program visits local senior living facilities. So come visit us at the ranch to see the impact our services make or keep an eye for our trailer going down and give us a wave.  

We continue to be diligent in our efforts to keep our expenses manageable, however there are significant costs involved in feeding and caring for our 8 horses, providing a safe and appropriately equipped facility, and having skilled instructors and staff members. While our participants do pay programs fees these only cover a small portion of the actual costs. Plus, we have experienced a significant increase in requests for needs-based scholarships.

Thankfully we have amazing volunteers who give 100’s of unpaid hours each week, as well as sponsors and donors who help Spirit TRC meet our financial needs so that we can continue to offer life changing services to those who need them the most.

As a 501c3 charitable non-profit Spirit TRC relies significantly on our community members to give of their time and treasure. Now more than ever we have a need for your support and ask that you give what you can to help Spirit Therapeutic Riding Center continue our mission.
